My recommendation for any anime fan is:
Naoki Urasawa's Monster
This anime was SO amazing. There are no super Natural elements, just GREAT storytelling. And it will literally blow your mind away. It's an older anime so at first I was put off of it, but I gave it a chance AND HOLY JESÚS. The suspense, the drama, the mystery was just so intense. The twist and turns, you get a real connection to the characters, and it's an amazing ride you will experience!
We've all seen alot anime and it's hard to pick one. What's your Ultimate recommendation?

I actually own the first box set for Monster and have seen it. I can't remember too much about it, but I do remember enjoying it and was saddened to see my discs run out. At the time I heard they never releaseed the second set and I still don't think they have. So I have not seen the second half of it, but would like to eventually.
As for picking just one, that's really hard. I have a lot of animes that I love. I guess if I had to pick right now I would go with Puella Magi Madoka Magica. It's one of those animes that really pulls at your heart strings while giving you magical girls and lovable characters. Also I have a confession to make. I know this goes against popular opinion, but I actually like Kyubey! I'll save that for another time as I don't want to go into spoilers.

Oh I didn't realize they added it to netflix. I will have to continue with it then. Thanks for letting me know.
And yes I know Kyubey is a jerk, but I can also see things from his side. Plus events at the end really turn around the bad that he was hiding.

Or how emotion is a metal disease in his culture. UGH LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

My boyfriend is completely against me getting a plush of him. He thinks it's bad enough that he comes with the Madoka nendoroid lol
Side note: What would you wish for?

I like the Helsing ovas but I'm not a fan of the anime series. I LOVE Helsing as a character but the series was so melodramatic and slow paced I feel and boring compared to the OVAs

I have seen Ultimate yet and I hear a lot of people prefer it, but I heard it's less story and more action. If that's the case I'm not sure I'm interested. I would recommend my big 3 anime Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, Toradora! and Mirai Nikki I haven't seen Brotherhood yet. Better than the original then?

I wouldn't say better than the original, it's completely different. I LOVE the original and I feel like it was more emotional. Brotherhood was just... wow! It was so amazing! It's a must watch!
