Maid Cafe in NYC garners negative attention.

For most, if not all of us here we have heard about the concept of a maid cafe and are also aware that they are popular in Japan. I'm not sure when this cafe opened up as I didn't see it in the article, but apparently it's has gained a lot of negative attention. I think the biggest complaints is that of objectifying women, asians and of course the problem of having them act younger. Since this community here is used to this kind of concept I was wondering your thoughts. Would you visit? While it works in Japan do you think it can work in the US?
