I dabbled in photography in an art class I took but I didn't like the material we did but I enjoy using Photoshop and taking that one good shot. So I like figures and I want to try to get better at my Arts so what better combination. My questions are, Do you use your figures for photography purposes? What kind of camera(s) do you use? Anything else, such as scene making/choosing "process"? Oh I know a lot of us have MFC accounts so if you have a particular photo you like or as an example, feel free to post those, I'd love to see some examples!

I use a crappy Canon A2300IS camera for filming and photography. It takes pretty good pictures but Photoshop, and Adobe LightRoom are what makes my pictures pop. (Which I'm pretty sure majority of pictures follow the same process) Recently I did this picture. Now with the help of Photoshop and Lightroom...

Damn that came out pretty nice. I was going to try to set up scenes for nendoroids. And take my scale figures and use Adobe Illustrator and photoshop to turn it into a type of painting/pastel looking photo. I think it could either come out pretty nice or pretty crappy, but I won't know until I try!

That's my main reason for my figures! I love taking pictures of them. I use my phone Samsung galaxy s3, Canon rebel xs. I generally for the most part doesn't use photoshop. Just lighting and stuff

I'm kinda just dabbling right now with figure photography. Between work, moving and making videos I don't really have a lot of time. My major in college was actually communications with a concentration of Digital Media. I used photoshop all the time, but it's been a few years since I graduated and had an actual copy of photoshop. I would love to get back into it. Right now I use a program called gimp which is very similar to photoshop and is completely free. So if you are starting out I suggest trying that as with photoshop or gimp they are huge programs that take time to learn. So going the free route will give you time to learn about them to make sure you really want to spend that much on a program. Also with all these programs, photoshop, lightroom, etc they do have a 30 day free trial you can do to see if you like them. And I know there is another lightroom type program that also has a 30 day free trial so you can get 60 days free before you decide if you like it.

So I'm workin on a side project in my computer graphics. I took the one picture of my yagyu gisen figure and plan on going over the picture to make it more popping and like a painting i have my colors all ready to go. If I get any work done or finish and like it, I'll post the results.
