Well I've been reading naruto and watching it for 10 years lol before it was relatively popular in America. But it's like one of those things.... kind of like a good tv show with alot of seasons that's gotten stale, it's just better to end it. It was amazing for its time. But so. many things have surpassed it now. It's sad when series you love get stale. I'm not sure what is better, a series ending to soon or it goes on for way to long. Either way I won't be getting figures for any of these series any time soon, even without watching them. None of the figures have even stood out to me enough to get it without knowing the characters. And I've seen an influx of One Piece figures lately and with Attack on Titan's popularity they have gotten their fair share too. They would have to be one amazing figure for me to even consider it. It's funny some things I've never heard of make me want to get a figure, but if I'm aware of the series and don't want to watch it normally their figures won't appeal to me either. Maybe I do base what I want to watch on character design lol I want the real action heroes mikasa.... Yeah character design is really important to me. But I hate when character design is awesome but the character in the anime or the whole anime itself is blah. For example inori, I Love her character design but I hate her character in the anime |

The Inori nendoroid was another figure that I ordered before watching the anime. She is what made me find out about it. I won't say that she is my favorite character ever and I must admit that her character design is way cooler their her personality, but I ended up liking her and though she fit her roll very well.

I really love how the beginning of Guilty Crown started with Inori singing and running away. Thought it was very dramatic and beautiful.

Probably 99% of my collection are all characters I know and love.
I know the Tharja 1/7 figure by Max Factory; I did not know about but I borrowed my friend's 3DS for about half a year playing Fire Emblem and falling in love with the game (Made my MC marry Tharja lol). Absolutely funny character.
So if I impulsively buy a character I don't know, I will put the effort to find out about him/her.

Yep both of you pretty much describe how I like to work. And I decided to purchase Iori from Idolm@ster. I slept on it and I still love this figure design. So added the anime to my crunchyroll queue lol.  |

Then why is Yoshika getting delayed over and over again! lol I assumed they were somehow related because they on occasions do Nendoroids, like in Yoshika's case, but they don't seem to be as consistent as GSC. Though I guess Racing Miku got delayed, which I guess racing Mikus are always late...so ya. I hope she doesn't get delayed lol

I tend to only buy figures that I am familiar with, but I have been tempted to purchase items without knowing the anime just because the figure looks adorable or really well done. The only figure I really ordered before watching the anime was the nendoroid Yuno from HidamarixSketch. I just thought she was overly adorable... and she had a sketchbook accessory which I loved because I'm really into art and drawing :3 I've wanted to buy Saber figures before without watching the anime, but I never ordered them. Now after starting Fate/Zero I kind of wish I ordered them xD haha

That's why I normally just pick them up when I first see them. I know I'll watch the anime eventually and most times before it even comes out and I would hate to miss out on a beautiful figure.

For the most part if I get a figure or have my eye on a figure from a series I don't know, I'll atleast learn about that figure's series. I'm getting 3 figures from 3 seperate games that I've never played nor see their animes.
