Where do you like to shop for anime figures? Do you mostly get them online? Purchase them at cons? Or are you lucky enough to live near a shop that carries them?
For me since I have never seen an Anime figure anywhere were I live I mostly have to shop online. If you watch my videos then you know my favorite place is Amiami. They have the largest selection and their prices are generally cheaper by around $10 or so. I've heard some people complain that they pack their boxes too much that they overcharge you for shipping, but how I see it is that they figures are cheaper in general so paying a little extra shipping evens things out. Plus now I have more protection for my purchases. And again their pre-owned selection has my wallet cringing, but it's the best place to find harder to find figures. So overall I shop at amiami.
I do however pick up some figures through Crunchyroll as they have deals of the day, sometimes free shipping and it's the place I go if an item sells out too quickly on amiami.

I prefer my stuff from amiami, they are really awesome. I don't have a problem with the shipping cost, I think it's reasonably set. And preowned section... IS HEAVEN... Or hell lol for you wallet! I think physical shops are a bit over priced but I guess, it would be like including ems shipping lol cause you get it right then and there

That's how I look at it anyways. They had to pay for it to get here so that's why it's a bit more pricy. Whenever I go to California I like to look around at figures and things I can't find here, but I recently found out that one of the stores I shopped at sold bootlegs so that kinda soured me on the experience.
I found a new store last time I was there and they had tons of figures. I think they have an online shop too, but I can't think of the name. However they don't like you carrying anything around the store. With pretty much everything you have to ask a sale associate to look at and even the things they don't they come and find YOU! It makes shopping uncomfortable there. I hate it when sales associates follow you around and ask too many questions. I get that they don't want things stolen or broken, but it was a bit overwhelming.

Yeah that does sound overwhelming BUT I think lol the fact it's so on amiami is a bad thing.... cause I JUST CANT STOP

I can't stop either. I do tend to shy away from the expensive ones for the most part, but even then reviews from MP14 and other youtubers made me cave on IBRS.

I had ibrs preordered on hobby search but account got closed with them cause I had almost 1000$ worth of preorders that I couldn't possibly pay for... so they all got canceled and my account got closed. I have serious problems lol but I have scaled down alot. I used to get hauls 400$-500$ each month before... alas not anymore. Ugh and I'm getting married next year,so starting Jan I will limit myself to one figure a month... or 100$ monthly limit

Ya this month is up there. I'm hoping I can slow down in the following months. Won't have space or as much extra funds. In fact if I was in my apartment already I probably wouldn't have bought so much lol

Generally AmiAmi.
I have bought stuff from HLJ and Hobby Japan before but not as much as AmiAmi.
I buy quite a lot of stuff off of Mandarake for items I cannot find. eBay happens rarely but it does happen.

Amiami I have noticed the higher shipping costs... but like you said the prices are better. If they are out of stock for pre-orders then I either go to Hobby Search or another site such as Hobby Link Japan or Anime Island if I really can't find it! Amiami is definitely my favorite though, especially because they sell pre-owned items. I only wish that they let you cancel items or re-combined orders that were already put together.

I wish they were more lenient on cancellations too, but I also see where they are coming from. As for recombining what exactly do you want to do? I am able to add figures into the same month of release easily when checking out and even if they sent me a payment email I can still add a couple days after. In fact my last order I kept adding things that they had to send me 3 payment emails. I still pay within the 7 days and they haven't said anything so I don't think it's an issue. I'll just see another pre-owned the next morning that they just added and instead of making a separate shipment I just add it. It's nice that they let me do that.
Also I've had an issue where an item was pushed back a month and dragged the whole shipment over. So I just emailed them to take that item out so that the currents months items can ship on time. I have asked them to take the pushed back item and combine it to the month it got pushed back into order, but they tell me to just do it myself. Which I am able to by going to the combine monthly orders section.

I guess I meant split orders after they have been recombined just so there isn't a delay in the shipment if an item isn't release yet, but I'm sure if I emailed them about it they might split it. Yea, they are really good about combining orders though Hmm I had that same issue. I just emailed them and they were able to adjust it after I gave them the order number.

They are pretty lenient with cancellations lol I can assure you Sent from my SPH-L710 using proboards I've heard that they have let some people cancel a lot and then others have only been able to do a couple of times before they get the warning. I think it has to do with how much you buy honestly. I know I buy a lot from them so I probably could get away with a few times, but I haven't asked them yet. Do they give you any type of warnings when you do it your first time? That's how I look at it anyways. They had to pay for it to get here so that's why it's a bit more pricy. Are you talking about Anime Jungle in Little Tokyo? Because that description reminds me of that store I remember they had a website before when I was searching online for something, so with the name now given I checked again. I looked at a couple pictures, but still not sure. This image doesn't look like the place. It's much to small. Perhaps they haven't updated their photo section because the tiny photo below looks like the place. So if the bottom photo is of Anime Jungle then yes that's the place I was talking about.
