I normally try to stay away from anything less than an A-, but I've heard some good and bad things about B rated figures. Sometimes it's just dust, sometimes it's something more. Have any of you purchased an B figures from amiami and if so what was your experience?

I have bought many B and B+ figures and to be honest they all looked like brand new to me. It might be just a little tiny smudge on the paint or like you said dust, but I never actually had any of those problems.
I would just stay away from anything that is not B- and above

That's reassuring. I recently purchased one this month (it hasn't arrived yet), but I thought I would take a chance. Depending on how it goes will probably determine if I purchase more of B.
I wish amiami would tell you why they grade something or take actual pictures, but I understand that's more work. The grading system is mostly true, but I have gotten an A before that had some paint missing and a box C that looked like it could be an A.

Yes I love amiami's pre-owned section. Favorite store to buy figures by far. Most of the figures I own are from amiami and about half are probably pre-owned.

i have for the most part been buy off of amazon its more suite for some one tight with money When I first started collecting I went the Amazon route, but I'm always hesitant because of bootlegs. Amazon is great though with customer service, but its still more to do if I have to contact them. I've also purchased off of Ebay and gotten bootlegs a couple of times so I pretty much stay away from there as well. yeah... I Super hesitant about anything below B. But I can't believe how awesome preowned stuff is! Almost brand new! I know it's amazing. It makes me wonder who these collectors are that just keep them in boxes. I could never do that.

Did it let you know why she was a C before you got her? I think I would be more willing to go with lower if I knew why. Some things I could live with especially if it was hard to find and only in that condition if I knew what was wrong with it. If I have a choice though I will go with the A.

Well this all makes me feel better about getting B figures if I can't find As. Maybe a B could just be that it was opened and displayed most of the time.

I feel B is the equivalent to the MFC Shop where people state it has been briefly displayed in their display case, then put back into the box. "C" quality varies from here and there. Thankfully AmiAmi tells the customer what the issue is and why they gave the figure the listing as a "C" figure. (Usually and most commonly, missing part, other than that the figure is like new, but sometimes I see broken hair piece, paint chip, etc.)

Thanks. I might take more risks with Bs from now on. I wouldn't consider it a risk lol. B's are just the equivalent to opened and displayed but put back in. A's are probably new or just opened and then put back in immediately.

I think I just need my B to get here so I can see for myself lol. But this thread has made me more open to getting more Bs, which means more chances to hurt my wallet.
